Stanford Research Park has always been a place where forward-thinking leaders and entrepreneurs have gathered teams to imagine and invent the future. Today, everything from leading global companies to technology incubators draw draws top-tier talent to Silicon Valley’s original research center.
Palo Alto is an unparalleled magnet for the kind of deep technical talent we need— innovators who understand that the future of mobility is defined by software. Being a part of the Stanford Research Park has allowed us to build incredible teams that are keeping Rivian at the very forefront of the EV and software-defined vehicle space.
Life Sciences
Anchored by the purpose-built Alexandria Center for Life Science and Arc Institute accelerators and home to industry leaders Varian/Siemens Healthineers, IFF, Guardant Health, and Kodiak Sciences,
advanced life science research is being conducted across Stanford
Research Park. In addition, Stanford School of Medicine facilities
across the Research Park leverage talent from the renowned research
university.
The “Life Science District” at Stanford Research Park is home to a community of entrepreneurs in the bioengineering, precision medicine, medical devices, and digital health fields — creating an integrated academic-to-industry life science ecosystem.
High-Tech
Stanford Research Park has long been the home to global technology companies. HP was one of our first tenants and continues to have their HQ here. They have since been joined by companies such as SAP, Rubrik, and Broadcom. Housed throughout Stanford Research Park, these visionary companies and others are pioneering advances in personal computing, enterprise software, information technology, AI, cybersecurity, and more.
Newer companies conducting research in high-tech fields are here as well, including 1X Technologies — which is making exciting advances in robotics. And StartX continues to serve as an important start-up accelerator empowering Stanford’s most accomplished and visionary entrepreneurs. With so many incredible technologies invented here already, we’re excited to see what the future holds.
Mobility
Advances in mobility and transportation are accelerating fast — just like the vehicles coming out of the sector. Stanford Research Park houses the R&D branches of some of the most recognizable and innovative automotive companies in the world, including Ford, Tesla, and Rivian.
Today, mobility is more than cars and trucks. It’s software, related hardware, and materials for autonomous vehicles as well — features and products of the future that are being researched by companies in the Research Park. And with our focus on sustainability, it’s exciting to see EV development happening here.
Stanford Research Park looks forward to welcoming imaginative teams from breakthrough companies for the next 75 years and beyond. Learn about joining our community by exploring current leasing opportunities.
